HP has unveiled a one-of-a-kind Windows PC at CES 2026, one that is built into a keyboard. Called the HP EliteBoard G1a, it is touted as the world’s first full AI PC in a keyboard and has been recognized as a CES 2026 Innovation Award Honoree.
The EliteBoard G1a is a full-size keyboard that measures up to 17mm in thickness and weighs less than 750g. The keyboard packs dual microphones and stereo speakers.
It is powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors and is said to deliver over 50 TOPS of NPU performance. The AI PC gets integrated Radeon 800M series graphics and offers user-upgradable DDR5 SODIMM RAM and M.2 NVMe storage.
For connectivity, the EliteBoard G1a comes with a USB 4.0 and a USB 3.2 Gen2 port that supports PD and video out. It also gets up to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
Underneath, the keyboard offers intake ports for cooling and a single fan with the exhaust vents at the back. It runs Windows 11 and has a dedicated co-pilot key.
The EliteBoard G1a is also available with an optional inbuilt 32Whr battery that is claimed to offer up to 3.5 hours of usage. However, it comes with a 65W USB-C power adapter.
HP also offers an optional fingerprint sensor and power button and a tethered USB-C cable in case you need to anchor the keyboard to your desk.
The company noted that the EliteBoard G1a will be available for purchase in March. Pricing will be disclosed at a later date.
